Mexico Cruise

Landon and I were able to go on a cruise to Mexico with Landon's family. His Mom retired this past year and so all the adults took a trip to celebrate. We had a blast! I love exploring new parts of the country and seeing different locations. We left from Long Beach, had 2 days on the ocean, then ported in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. The weather was perfect for most of the vacation. The last day at port was windy and so sailing back to Cali was super rough. What an experience! Thanks for all the fun! ( sorry about the prego in the pictures...not the most flattering, I know...only 10 more weeks to go!) We got to Long Beach a little early so had some time to play on the ocean before we sailed out.

Each night we had more of a formal dinner with the family in the "Gold Pearl Restaraunt". We had excellent waitors that kept us entertained. Ninja and Sendai.

I ordered hot chocolate the first night after dinner and my sweet little waitor brought it for me every night without me asking. Delish!!!

One of many of me posing. The Carnival Splendor ship was absolutely beautiful. I totally pretended to be a queen boarding the Titanic. I'm sure Landon was sick of me.. :)

Our first stop....Puerto Vallarta!!!

The CrAzY CrEw!! Kevin, Jaynee, Ryan and Amanda all got to go ziplining. What fun!! Landon sat it out because I couldn't go (pregnant belly). What a guy! They took us into the jungle where the group did their excursions. Landon and I hiked down to a river and explored the area. Beautiful!!

The gorgeous scenery

Unfortunately Mexico doesn't have Diet Coke.....Fortunately it does have Coca Cola Light!!

Almost as beautiful as the scenery!

How cool is this little banana tree just growing in the wild? I love stuff like this!!! (I know, a little wierd!)

Landon...taking his vacation to the extreme. This was where they brought the group that took off on their excursion. Landon is obviously enjoying the environment....

After the excursion, we went downtown to shop and see more of the city.

The morning we ported into Mazatlan

We hired some guy to dive us around the town a little and then take us to a resort where we could enjoy the beach. He let us stop to watch the cliff divers...and boy were they amazing!! This guy jumped so far into the water! Holy Brave!

Can you see him??? The incredible thing was even after the dive. He scaled this mountain with bare feet after he jumped in so rediculously fast. He had climbed all the way to the top and made it over to us (to collect his tips) before we had even gotten over the fact of how amazing his jump was. It was amazing!

The beautiful view in Mazatlan

There were more cliff divers jumping from the top of these stairs.

So Landon had to see if he was brave enough to climb them....He did it! They were super scary, so I was proud of him cause he HATES heights. Way to go!

The gorgeous resort where we hung out. These patio chairs faced the beach and ocean. Picture perfect!

(Sorry they are out of order) Charlie's Angels...can't ya tell??

Gloria, Jaynee, and Me

Landon was so nervous he went up on his hands and knees. However, he walked the whole thing again upright. I'm so proud!! :)

The boys playing in the ocean making their attempt at Boogie Boarding.

My favorite thing: Relaxing on the beach.

By the resort. Pools in the back--ocean in the front!

The Day Boys (some of them)

Our cruise ship

The platform the cliff divers were jumping from.

Our 3rd port. Cabo San Lucas

Lovers Beach in Cabo.

The waves were INCREDIBLE at Lover's Beach. They were HUGE and we were so close.

On one side of this little island was the Pacific Ocean and on the other side where our ship was, it was the Sea of Cortez. Pretty cool!

After Lover's Beach this little fishing boat took us to a resort on the main beach.

Of course there are lots and lots of people selling their goods and products all along the beach. We were proud of our purchases!

Jaynee, Me, and Bonnie

Taking a little time out in Cabo San Lucas.

I absolutely LOVE the flowers that were everywhere in Mexico. I love the bright colors and different plants and trees. I guess I get that from my parents!

Making our way back to Long Beach.

So the FUNNIEST thing happened on the last day of our adventures. It was either from the sun OR I ate something I was allergic to, because my bottom lip became completely swollen. It was hilarious!! Landon teased me that I had injections that went really wrong! It's all about the adventures, right??

Our evening meal. Yes, pretty much all we did was eat. Eat and sleep.

Lover's Beach from our ship's view.

The famous arch at Cabo San Lucas. The local boat driver told us it looks like a donkey drinking from the ocean. Wow! It sure does!

The Day Gang. Thanks for such a fabulous time!
