Gotta love it!

So I've fallen in love again! This time it's BAKING SODA! I am just so amazed at the many uses that one little product has. From cleaning...to sanitizing... to deodorizing... and even to eating!! It's like magic! Here is my favorite use of all: I recently discovered that it removes build-up from hair. I have been looking for anything that works well and have been willing to spend a little more $$ than usual. Little did I know, it was free and already in my home. It does tend to dry out my hair, so I also use an oil after I wash it. It feels great! Here is a site to see how many uses there actually are for baking soda... http://www.armhammer.com/myhome/ ...Sorry to all my hair professional friends, I'm sure it's not the healthiest, but it works!! I will try and only use it once a year...(I mean month!)

Happy Valentine's Day

My sweet and adorable husband has done it again. Every Valentine's Day he creatively plans this amazing scavenger hunt. He does get a little mean though, he expects me to drive all over the valley looking for hidden clues and trying to figure out incredible puzzles! Then if I try and try again, and still don't succeed, he makes me agree to certain penalties and punishments if he has to give me any hints. Oh, and by the way Landon, I am not holding Sable (our huge golden retriever) on my lap and petting her for 5 min! Ok, ok, I did agree to serve breakfast in bed, make homemade pizza for dinner, a couple of back rubs, and a few other things. :0)
Brecka, Darci, and Jada having a blast at the ice skating rink!

Don't laugh too hard, this is just me making a fool of myself singing a princess song, "Look at this stuff, isn't it neat?", as loud as I could while hopping on one foot." We were in a church parking lot, and YES there were people around!
All of this just to get a hint!!!

Landon and Brecka

No really, I absolutely had a GREAT time and it was worth it! We had so much fun from searching outside in the snow, to having lunch at Logan's Heroes, calling my life line and getting help from Tiff, and ending up ice skating at Merlin Olsen Park. It was the best Valentine's ever. Thanks for going to so much work, Landon. You're the best!

Kisses!

I found this on a Valentine website. I thought it was so cute and a fun idea! Read up!

Celebrate the 14 days of Valentines with a variety of kisses.
ICE KISS: Put an ice cube in your mouth until your mouth becomes cold. Remove the cube, track down your love and plant a kiss that will send chills!
ELECTRIC SHOCK KISS: The two of you shuffle your feet furiously on carpet. When you both have an electric charge, lean over and slowly aim for each other's lips. With your lips about one-half inch apart, move in even slower until a spark jumps between the two of you. Instantly after this happens, kiss one another...the please us the kiss right after the shock!
POST-IT KISS: Use 3M Post-It notes to make a trail through your house that leads to your lips. Put a lipstick print or lip symbol on each note with an arrow pointing to the next note. You, of course, are at the end of the trail with a Post-It note over your lips that says, "LIFT FOR KISS"
MORSE CODE KISS:If you know Morse code, great, If not, this is a great way to learn. Find a Morse Code chart. Using long and short kisses, spell out a message to your love and have him or her try to decipher them.
RENDEZVOUS KISS: With a note or phone call, tell your love to meet you at a certain place and time (e.g. park bench, street corner, ice cream stand) for a present. When your love arrives, have a bow stick to your lips.
BATH KISS: Surprise your love with a kiss while he/she is showering or in the tub. (WARNING: Prepare to get wet)
MACHINE GUN KISS: In rapid succession, plant 12 quick ones on your lover's lips.
PINK PANTHER KISS: Humming the Pink Panther theme, prowl toward your partner. On the high note, pounce and pucker. Suggestion-wear only pink!
GREAT EXPECTATIONS KISS: Inform your love one morning that he or she will soon receive a fabulous kiss. Later, call you love with a reminder. When next you see your love, pull out the stops and plant a long, hot, passionate kiss.
GOODBYE * 2 KISS: Send off your love in the morning with a quick kiss. As your love turns to leave, pull him or her back for a second, more passionate kiss
RIDDLE KISS: Ask your love to solve the following riddle: "I am just two and two; I am warm, I am cold; I am lawful, unlawful; A duty, a fault; I am often sold dear; Good for nothing when bought; an extraordinary boon; and a matter of course; and yielding with pleasure; When taken by force." If your love solves it, ask for a demonstration as proof. If he or she cannot show the answer, of course, the answer is a kiss.
UNEXPECTED KISS: When the two of you are doing the usual, lean over and give your love a sweet kiss on the cheek for no good reason and whisper...I LOVE YOU!
KNOCK-KNOCK KISS: Stage the following knock-knock joke with your love: KNOCK KNOCK Who is there? KissKiss who? Kiss who? Why me, of course!
TOOTHPASTE KISS: Brush your teeth together. When your love's mouth is all sudsy, plant a big wet one on the lips. WARNING: MAKE SURE TOOTHBRUSHES ARE OUT OF THE WAY!

Hitting the Slopes!

Landon and Darci enjoying the day skiing with NO kids!! Thanks Bonnie!

Skiing at Beaver with Mom(Nancy), Tiff, Dad(Rod), Cory, and Landon

Time: 2:15p.m.
Landon:"Is it FINALLY time to stop and eat lunch? I'm starving!"
Anybody who knows my Dad: "You are lucky to get lunch! We use to have to eat in the car on the way home!!"
All of us:"We love you Dad, and wouldn't have it any other way!"

This past weekend my family met at my house and we all went skiing! We haven't been able to go all together because of the little kiddos, so it was very needed and such a blast! Thanks to Bonnie for watching Jada and Brecka. It was nice to have them well taken care of so we didn't have to worry while we were gone. I am still so amazed by my parents' expert skiing. Me, being 28 years old, them being....well older....and I still cannot keep up with them. They have such grace and finesse, I am just astounded. They give me good examples to learn from and try to follow. Tiff and Cory were able to come up and spend the day at the mountain with us also. It was so much fun to be with them and hear Tiff's laughter 5 chairs behind them on the lift. It just rings through the pine trees like a song. Nothing, however, could beat the shower that my Dad gave Tiffany on the first or second run down. He completely sprayed her with snow as he demonstrated his skills and stopped right at her feet. She looked like a snowman! What fun! The weather was gorgeous and snow was perfect. What a fun day. Thanks everyone, for making it possible! Don't worry, Dad, I took a mental picture!
