My parents and my sister's family came to visit over the 4th. We played in the yard, hiked to Bloomington Lake, had a picnic, had fun with fireworks, and just relaxed. The hike was great, the kids were troopers and even the guys had a blast. (Videos below will explain) It was a great weekend.

Yes, the guys had to show their stuff and swing from the rope into the frigid cold water. I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with their stamina even though little words were spoken as they emerged trying to gasp for air. Way to go Landon, Dad, and Cory. You are all my heroes!(sorry Cory, I couldn't get that video to work!)

Wow - you know it's cold water when you see snow melting into the lake on the other side. Looks like lots of fun - at least for the brave men of the family.
Fun weekend. And brave men. I tried that swing once, and never again. Freaked me out just watching the videos. And, we need to hear about your race!!!
Looks like lots of fun! What manly men you have around you. ;) I think once I almost died jumping into a really cold lake. I couldn't breathe. I'm really glad I lived. My life may not be so great if I were dead.
